Italian Juventus was the first football team for Kappa to sponsor. Up through the 1980s then followed a large number of prominent European football clubs: AC Milan, A.C. Barcelona, A.S Roma, Ajax A.J. with more. And Kappa did not stop by football. Kappa was sponsor of the famous U.S. national track and field team - and thus for legends such as Carl Lewis, Florence Griffith Joyner and Janice - in Los Angeles (1984) and Seoul (1988).

Today the brand sponsors teams all over the world – including Roma and Valencia. The largest sponsorships in Scandinavia include Norwegian BRANN and Danish F.C. Copenhagen.
